777 is a browser play online casino that aims to stand out from the crowd by taking you on a trip back to golden era Las Vegas. Think drop-top Cadillacs, Frank Sinatra and The Sands, and you’ve got the picture.  The theme is the only old-fashioned thing about this site, though. Launched in 2015 by 888 Holdings, the company behind the giant 888Casino, this is a thoroughly modern slots-first casino with a mobile site that makes no compromises. 777 is clearly focused on creating a cohesive, streamlined user-experience rather than simply throwing hundreds of games at the player. It certainly is appealingly designed, but the question is whether it offers the substance to match. Read the 777 Casino Review below to find out.

Safety and Trustworthiness

As a member of the 888 Holdings family, 777 comes with the full weight of one of the biggest names in online gaming behind it. The parent company has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 2005, and has a track record that goes back 20 years. All very reassuring when dealing with a fairly new casino.

777 is based in Gibraltar, where it has a remote gambling license from the Government of Gibraltar, as well as that all-important okay from the UK Gambling Commission. That’s all to be expected. But what impressed us more was how easy 777 makes it to find important security and safety information on the site.

In the About Us section you’ll find links to the latest eCogra certificate and clear information about the RNG (random number generator) and its role in ensuring a fair game.

On top of that, every game has a description section that includes its specific return-to-player (payout) percentage. This should all be standard stuff, but in our experience it’s rare to find a casino that makes quite so much information easily available to players. So, top marks for transparency.

Deposits & Withdrawals

777 Casino offers a large number of banking methods, with really good documentation on site containing all the information you need regarding limits and deposit/withdrawal timeframes. The 72-hour pending period imposed on withdrawals is overly long, though, and makes this one of the slowest sites to process withdrawals.

Bonuses

Signing up to 777 via PlayRight will net you an exclusive 200% up to £500 welcome bonus.

The bonus is worth more than double the already generous standard offer, but tough wagering requirements may make it more suitable to serious players.

First, you have to wager your deposit amount 20 times within 21 days of your initial deposit. Once you do that, your “pending bonus” will become an “immediate bonus” that must be wagered 50 times before it’s made available for withdrawal. Again, you have 21 days from the time of your initial deposit to complete the wagering requirement. It’s also worth noting that until you complete all wagering requirements your winnings will be capped at £500, except in the case of progressive jackpots.

Game contributions are actually slightly better than average, though.

  • All other games, including all slots, contribute 100%.
  • Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Caribbean Poker, Triple Card Poker and other poker table games are restricted to 20%.
  • Blackjack, live casino games, Hi-Lo, video poker, Power Video Poker, and baccarat contribute 10%.
  • Craps contributes just 5%.

Whether this is a viable bonus for you will come down to which games you prefer to play, and how much you play. If you’re a beginner blackjack player, you can probably find a site with a better blackjack % playthrough elsewhere.

Game Selection

The 777 logo dominates a layout that does its best to make you feel like you’re on your way to the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas. But underneath there’s clearly some shared DNA with 888Casino.

Entering the games section, you’re presented with a very uncomplicated interface, which allows you to pick and instantly start the game of your choice. Everything is separated into clearly marked categories that can be accessed via a menu at the top of the page. It also includes an information page for each game, so you can find out more about game features, how to play, and the payout (which we like a lot).

777 is not a casino site that attempts to draw you in with novel mechanics or unique features (see Mr. Green or Rizk for well-realized brand identities). The closest thing to a special feature is probably the singular focus on slots, with most of the major software developers accounted for.

The choice of slots like 888 Casino is not very large, but in its favor, 777 does offer titles from a range of leading developers, including NetEntIGT and Playtech. Player favorites such as Starburst, Cleopatra, Jack and the Beanstalk and Wild Gambler are all available, along with more than 20 progressive jackpot slots.

Aside from the gems plucked from the big software developers’ catalogues, the main supplier of software on 777 is Dragonfish, which is also part of the same 888 Holdings group. That means you’ll see a lot of games here that you’ll find at very few online casinos, including progressive jackpot games like Millionaire Genie and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

If you prefer playing table games instead of slots, the selection of these at 777 Casino is more limited, with only a handful of Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat variations on offer.

That lack of table games is made up for by the excellent live casino product, which is provided by award-winning developer Evolution Gaming. Here you get around 20 blackjack tables and 12 roulette tables, taking in several different variations and a range of table limits, from £0.50 to £40,000. There are also versions of baccarat, Casino Hold’em and Caribbean Stud Poker.

On the whole, we found that live games ran smoothly, and where there were problems it was more likely the fault of our internet connection.

Mobile App

777 mobile casino is a seriously impressive approximation of the desktop experience, and only a handful of slots and table games fail to make the jump to mobile.

There’s no downloadable app, but since this casino places an emphasis on games developed in HTML5, you’ll find around 60 games available to play when you visit the site from your phone. That includes those NetEnt and IGT favourites mentioned earlier, as well as some of the more popular progressive jackpots, such as Millionaire Genie. The table game range is slightly more reduced, but most of the blackjack and roulette varieties make it across.

Even more impressively, you get access to the complete range of live dealer games, including numerous tables of live roulette and live blackjack, baccarat, Caribbean Stud, Three-Card Poker and Hold’em. This really rounds out the mobile experience, and we found that the games worked smoothly, and were easy to follow, on mobile.

Signing up for an account on mobile is a little different to signing up on the 777 site directly, but it’s still pretty standard and should take only a minute or so to complete. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be able to access the games instantly, as well as taking advantage of the mobile sign-up bonus – a 100% match up to £100. There’s also a £21 no deposit bonus available, but you need to sign up initially on your PC to claim that bonus.

The 777 mobile site has a somewhat retro feel, but it still retains most of the useful features of the desktop version. It’s easy to navigate, even on smaller screens, and the games play incredibly well on both Android and iOS devices.

Promotions

777 may have a relatively small games catalogue, but it more than makes up for that with an avalanche of promotions. For starters, there’s a regular bonus offer for each day of the week

Jackpot Monday Marathon gets you 30% up to £100 FreePlay bonus on the site’s main jackpot games. Twilight Tuesday gives you a mystery bonus of between 7% and 77% up to £100, while Raffle Wednesday gives you he chance to win up to 777 in a free raffle, although you need to earn 7 comp points for each raffle entry ticket.

On Time Travel Thursday you can take advantage of four different deposit bonuses themed around different decades of the 20th century. Deposits made on Cashback Friday are eligible for 50% cashback up to £20 on any net losses incurred. On Take 2 Saturdays, you earn double comp points on all live casino games, while on Sunday Surprise could bring you a share of £777 FreePlay credit in your account.

Most of the daily promos involve FreePlay credits that include quite demanding wagering requirements and winnings restrictions. Be sure to read the terms and conditions to make sure you’re confident of meeting the requirements.

You also earn comp points as you play at 777, at a rate of 1.5 points for every £10 wagered. 150 comp points can be redeemed for real cash.

As a 777 casino member you’re also eligible to be invited to join the 888 VIP Casino Club, which comes with a variety of perks, including exclusive events, bonuses and goodies.

As far as bonuses and promotions go, 777, much like 888, gets top marks for variety, but we can’t help but feel the terms and conditions are a little bit demanding for the average player to meet. They’re also a little convoluted to be easily understandable.

Support

777 Casino offers support 24 hours a day via freephone and email. Response times we found to be fair but we don’t like the lack of live chat.

Review Summary

There is quite a bit to like about 777 Casino. It’s a well-conceived site with an appealing theme, user-friendly design and perhaps the most helpful and transparent documentation we’ve found on any casino site.

The game selection lets the side down a bit, though. There are very few table games on offer, and even the slots catalogue, which is the site’s main focus, is pretty small. Meanwhile, the promotions and bonuses are fine in principle but the restrictive conditions attached don’t make them the most player-friendly. Like its sister site 888Casino it also lets itself down with its long pending withdrawal times and lack of live chat.

On the plus side, there’s loads of progressives, top titles from some of the best developers, and that great selection of live games – all of which are available to play on mobile. Overall we see 777 as ‘work in progress’, for now we’re awarding it 7/10.
