22Bet are a relatively new betting site, formed in 2018 but already offering a large range of markets in a multitude of sports. The site is operated by TonyBet who are no strangers to the world of online betting having been in business across Europe since 2009. TonyBet themselves are owned by Swedish gambling giants Bettson who are a publicly traded company on the Swedish Stock Exchange.

Although they’re still fairly new on the scene, 22Bet are determined to offer bettors around the world great value and the chance to bet on a huge number of different sports and games. Will their services and promotions be enough to encourage you to sign up however? Read on for our full review to find out.

Safety and Trustworthiness

Of course it always pays to ensure the betting site you sign up to is fully trustworthy before you begin to place any bets. The first thing you should look for is who the site is licensed by and in this case, 22Bet has betting licenses from both the United Kingdom and Curacao. The fact that the site is fully licensed by the Gambling Commission of the UK is a good sign for their overall trustworthiness as they are very strict in making sure that sites are fair and trustable before awarding a license.

On top of the licenses they hold, 22Bet is also independently tested by GLI UK who ensure that pay outs are fair and test to prove that the site complies with the rules of their licences. GLI also keep records of site activity for the settlement of player disputes and to help prevent match fixing or general unfair practices.

22Bet employ the use of 256 Bit SSL encryption to make sure your data like bank or card details are secure and help prevent the site from possible cyber-attacks. In addition to this, their site promises the use of a fraud team to combat possible account theft and will freeze accounts that they see as possibly showing signs of suspicious activity.

The site is still quite new but the feedback found online from users is mostly pretty positive with no complaints to be found about withholding pay outs or other untrustworthy behaviour. So with all that said 22Bet ranks highly on their safety and trustworthiness for us.

Deposits & Withdrawals

22Bet offer feeless withdrawals and deposits from a number of different providers and also allow you to use direct bank transfers. Withdrawals are reportedly fast, taking a few hours at most to process no matter which provider you use. It is worth considering though that even if the site processes your withdrawal request quickly, it still has to be processed by whichever provider you use, with credit and debit cards usually taking a bit longer to show the funds.

The minimum deposit for each payment provider is £10 although it should be noted that there is no maximum deposit amount on 22Bet and no withdrawal limits either meaning this site will be a big hit with high stakes gamblers.

We did find reviews from some users who found that their payments were generally processed quickly, but that on weekends there were often delays in how fast withdrawals were credited to them.

Mobile

22Bet make use of both a mobile friendly site and a specifically designed mobile app that’s available to download for free on Android, windows devices and iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads. Although there is an app available, accessing it is not that easy due to the fact that it’s not currently available on either the Google Play store or Apple’s App store. Instead, mobile users should head over to the mobile site where they’ll be prompted to download the file to install the app. Once the app has been installed, you’ll also have to go to your phone’s settings to add it to your list of trusted apps in order for it to run correctly on your mobile device.

This kind of lengthy process and the fact that the app is not available to download from any trusted app store is likely to put some users off, but those who do download the app will be pleasantly surprised by its ease of use. The app is clear and simple to use and although it may not be as aesthetically pleasing as some other bookmaker’s apps, it still serves its function well and allows you to access all the markets you would also find on the site. Placing bets is intuitive and it’s easy to navigate through the many different options on offer.

Bet Offers

Despite its decent reputation and functional mobile app, you might still be wondering why you should sign up to use 22Bet. As with a lot of online betting companies, 22Bet offer you a free welcome bonus when making an account if you’re new customer. Currently the welcome bonus at 22Bet gives new members a 100% bonus up to £50 when they make their first deposit. All you have to do is enter the code 50SPORT and your deposit will be matched up to £50.

Of course, as with all promotions, terms do apply to the bonus credit and the full amount will have to be wagered 10 times at odds of at least 8/13 (1.65) before the bonus can be fully credited to your account and become available for cashing out. Full terms of the bonus and any extra requirements are listed on the 22Bet website and it’s worth noting that the offer expires on 31/12/2019.

£50 is a decent welcome offer, certainly more than a lot of other sites provide, with Bet365 and Betfair being the only major sites currently giving a better deal. The offer will no doubt be enough to get a lot of hopeful punters signing up to the 22Bet site.

Betting Markets And Odds Quality

On 22Bet it’s easy to find your way around the site to make your intended bet, despite the vast number of options for you to place your bets on. There are all of the traditional sports which you would expect to find such as football, cricket, tennis, Formula 1, rugby and boxing. Plus American sports like basketball, American football, ice hockey and. On top of this, 22Bet also offers betting on E-sports such as CS:GO and Dota2 making this site a great option for finding more obscure markets to bet on.

The menus which the site uses to display the bets are perhaps a little less intuitive than some other sites out there but not enough that it presents a serious issue. Your betting slip is prominently displayed on the right of the screen and just under this you can also quickly access in play bets, separated by sport.

22Bet frequently have competitive odds, offering great value to their customers by giving the same or larger odds than many of the bigger online betting sites. For example, 22Bet currently have Man City to win the Premier League in the 2019/20 season at 33/50 (1.66) whereas well known sites such as SkyBet, Bet365 and Bet Victor have them to win at ½ (1.5). Football isn’t the only sport where great value bets are offered though as 22Bet also give generous odds on tennis and many more.

On top of the sportsbook, 22Bet also provide an online casino which can be accessed from the same site. Using the same account and funds you can play casino games such as poker, blackjack, roulette and more. There are also the standard slot machines available and a live casino too, giving you the chance to win big money at live tables including VIP options.

In-Play Betting

As has become standard for a lot of online betting sites now, 22Bet provide you the option of gambling on in-play markets across a range of sports, with an emphasis on football and tennis. This gives you the opportunity to bet on games as they take place, with odds changing depending on the current balance of play.

Within the in-play section of the site, you’ll find the options of which sports to bet on, with most of the top sports covered by in-play. There are handy graphics and stats on display to tell you which team is attacking and crucial information that might affect the match. On top of this 22Bet also allow you to live stream certain events so you can watch the match as you place your bets. You can watch up to four events simultaneously in this manner, giving the edge over some other sites which don’t have this feature.

To further enhance the experience of the in-play betting, 22Bet also give the option to cash out your bet at any time during the game, allowing you to easily take profits or cut your losses depending on how you feel.

Support

In relation to their customer service, 22Bet could perhaps stand to do a little better. Both email and live chat are available and are answered 24/7, although response times were occasionally a bit slower than those of other sites.

Review Summary

For a relatively newly formed site, 22Bet is so far doing almost everything right. What we particularly liked was the value that they offer their customers, with both the welcome bonus and the odds offered proving to be a pleasant surprise. The number of sports available and the live streaming feature were also great to see, showing that giving customers more variety and options is the way forward.

If there were improvements to be made, the site could be a little nicer to look at and the mobile app would definitely be improved by making it available to download on the app stores. In addition to this, customer service could always be improved slightly but none of these are particularly serious complaints.

Overall we were impressed by the quality of 22Bet and would be happy to recommend it, particularly to those that love in-play betting and want to take advantage of that generous welcome offer.
