Casumo was founded back in 2012 and has built up a solid reputation as a gambling brand. Over the years, its casino has won multiple awards and always aims to provide customers with a quality experience. Now, the company shifts it’s focus towards sports betting and in 2019, teamed up with Kambi Group to deliver a new offering to sports betting fans.

Kambi has plenty of experience in the world of sports betting, providing sports betting platforms for big industry names like 888 and 32Red. Casumo and Kambi, both based out of Malta, have worked together to produce a sports betting site that puts a lot of focus on its mobile users. But does the site hold up and can it compare to other names in the industry? Read on for our full review and find out.

Safety and Trustworthiness

Whenever we start our reviews we always look very closely at how safe and trustworthy a site is. If you’re signing up for a new online sportsbook you need to be sure that the money you’re depositing into your account is going to be safe.

Luckily, Casumo is all above board from what we can tell. The site is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission who impose strict rules to make sure that the players are protected when using the site. This means that players in the UK can safely access and bet at Casumo and if you do experience any issues, you can expect to be treated fairly.

Casumo is a big brand and whilst its sportsbook is new, its casino has won multiple awards which is an excellent sign that they’re a trustworthy and reputable company.

We also checked to make sure that Casumo is safe and uses proper encryption technology on its site to keep your data safe. Without encryption, your payment or personal details could be accessed so it’s always important to make sure a site makes use of encryption.

The Casumo sportsbook is still fairly new so there are limited user reviews to be found online. Despite this, however, there are loads of reviews of their casino site and these can be a good indication of how they treat their sportsbook customers too. Although reviews are mostly positive some people complain about slow verification and customer service response times.  Whilst these aren’t major issues, they can be frustrating so we hope that the sportsbook can put more effort into keeping customers satisfied.

Deposits & Withdrawals

Casumo makes depositing money into your account easy and it has a great range of options available. All of the major options are supported and there’s even support for mobile billing, as Casumo focuses on mobile users.

No charges apply for any deposits and your account will be credited with funds immediately after making the transfer.

When it comes to making a withdrawal, most of the same deposit methods are supported. You’ll need to use the same method to withdraw as your last deposit, however. The minimum amount you can withdraw is £1 but note that all withdrawals under £10 will incur a fee of £3.

Withdrawals are usually fast but can take longer if your account still needs to be verified. Generally, Ewallet services will be instant whereas you may need to wait several working days for bank transfers or VISA debit withdrawals.

Overall, user reviews of the site report that both deposits and withdrawals are handled well by the site with fast processing times and with plenty of options available.

Mobile

One of the main selling points of Casumo’s betting site is that it’s tailored specifically towards mobile users. Mobile betting has grown in recent years and most sites now make sure that their sites are accessible on mobile and handheld devices including tablets.

Casumo goes on step further though and has developed their own mobile app which can be downloaded from either the App Store or Google Play Store. Right now the app is available on Android and iOS operating systems.

The app works perfectly on the devices we tested it on, working great on a variety of different mobile devices and tablets. All of the main functionality of the site is available on the app and it’s easy to navigate and find your way around. All of the markets and events available on the main site are also available on the app.

Bet Offers

As with the majority of online sportsbooks out there, Casumo offers a welcome bonus to all new players. The bonus isn’t as big as some other bonuses offered by other sites but it has simple terms, making it more accessible to all players.

Any new player signing up to Casumo for the first time will receive a free £10 bet when they deposit and bet £10 or more. To qualify for the free bet, bet at least £10 on odds of at least 3/5 (1.6). You’ll need to make sure your account has been verified before making the qualifying bet within 35 days of creating your new account.

Your qualifying bet will also need to settle within the first 35 days of opening your account. Once your bet has settled, your free bet will automatically be credited to your account.  Use your free bet by selecting the option on your betting slip. Note that you have to use it all in one go and your winnings won’t include the initial free bet stake.

Whilst the total bonus amount may be less than a lot of big sites, it’s refreshing to see a sign-up offer that’s free from complicated terms or wagering restrictions. Casumo has made it really easy to obtain this free bet and there are no strings attached. Your free bet can be used on any event and at any odds.

Unlike some other betting sites, Casumo lets you withdraw any deposit or winnings from your free bet at any stage. The only thing to note is that if you make a withdrawal before making a qualifying bet, you won’t obtain your free bonus.

On top of the sign-up offer for new players, Casumo provides regular promotions to keep things interesting for current players. Each week new promotions including special offers and enhanced odds are available for all players to join in the fun. There’s also a loyalty reward scheme which allows you to collect prizes by betting regularly.

Betting Markets And Odds Quality

The site is well designed and especially on mobile devices, everything loads quickly and runs very smoothly. The overall style and aesthetic is also nice and finding your way around the different sports and events is easy. The one criticism is the activity feed which features on the bottom left of the screen. This feed displays information about other users, displaying when someone logs in or wins some cash. Whilst it’s interesting at first, it soon gets a bit annoying as it’s constantly moving and there’s no way to hide it.

When you first create your account, you’ll be prompted to choose from the sports you’d like to see on your page. You can choose as few or as many from a selection of 35 different sports. Don’t worry, you can always add or remove some later. All of the main sports are available and whilst it may not have the variety of some sites, it still packs plenty of different sports in. You’ll find football, cricket and tennis alongside eSports, darts, snooker and American football.

As we mentioned before, Kambi Group is providing the software for Casumo to use and this really shows in the quality of the site. Kambi is highly experienced and also provide software for betting giants like 888 and 32Red. As you would expect, everything works perfectly and there’s a great number of options for all kinds of betting enthusiasts.

Odds on Casumo are good, about what you would find at any other betting site. You can definitely find value in some of the more niche options and odds are rarely ever worse than on other sites.

If you’d like a change of pace, you can also head over to the Casumo casino, which you’ll find by pressing the Casino link in the top left of the screen. Here, you can use your same Casumo account and sports betting funds to try your luck at any of the casino games including exciting slot games and classics such as Poker and Blackjack.

In-Play Betting

No good betting site is complete without in-play betting these days and if you’re a fan of this style you’re in luck. Casumo has a great range of live markets for you to enjoy and there are plenty of different sports which allow for live betting.

You’ll find the in-play markets easily in a collapsible menu at the top of each sports page. Once you open it up you can choose from all the different games currently happening. There’s no live streaming feature as yet, but the site makes great use of statistics and a graphic that shows the action areas in real-time.

Support

If you experience an issue when using Casumo, you may find it difficult to get in contact with their customer support team. The exact contact details of the team are very hard to find on the site and the usual “Contact Us” page is nowhere to be found.

At the moment you can only contact the customer support team by email and whilst replies were fairly quick, we think the service could be better.

Review Summary

Overall there are a lot of great things about Casumo, they’ve taken their success in the world of online casinos and used it to develop a great site with the help of the experience Kambi Group. There are plenty of different sports and markets available and the odds usually in line with what you’d expect to see at any major site.

We also liked the bonus and the simplicity of obtaining and using the free bets, something that’s great for encouraging new players. The site is especially focused on mobile users and it’s nice to see a good sportsbook with such a well made app.

The only criticisms we have about the site is that customer support is hard to find, we think a live chat could really improve Casumo and make the site more welcoming for all users.
