MoPlay burst into public consciousness in the UK thanks to their affiliation with Man Utd and Watford – two high profile sponsorships that have helped put MoPlay on the map. MoPlay’s football offering is one of the most comprehensive in the country, covering everything you could possibly want to bet on, from Premier League and La Liga to the Uzbekistan Cup and Zambia Super League.  While MoPlay might be new to the market, they’re already winning fans for their competitive odds, fast platform and daily promos and bonuses. A trusted, regulated sports book with a suite of slick mobile apps to boot, MoPlay is off to a flying start.

Safety and Trustworthiness

MoPlay is still a new sportsbook, so they don’t have the same pedigree as some other UK bookmakers. But that’s no reason not to trust them. As official sponsors of both Watford and Manchester United, there’s clearly budget behind this company – this level of profile doesn’t come cheap, and it’s safe to assume MoPlay is well capitalised, which is a good start.

Parent company Addison Global Limited is headquartered in the gambling hotspot of Gibraltar, with offices in London. A fully regulated and authorised operator, Addison Global holds a gambling license from the UK Gambling Commission – one of the most stringent betting regulators in the world. This means MoPlay are held to a high standard of compliance, and subject to investigation and enforcement from the Gambling Commission if they were ever to stray from the law.

Going even further to build confidence, MoPlay is a member of IBAS – the Independent Betting Adjudication Service. This is a service that mediates in gambling disputes between operators and punters, and shows that MoPlay is a sportsbook that’s willing to give a fair hearing to their customers if they should ever run into problems. MoPlay is also a member of a similar scheme run by respected industry body eCOGRA, providing players with multiple ways of holding MoPlay to account.

From a safety point of view, MoPlay has double-locked its platform to ensure absolute security and integrity, both with customer data and payments. Payments are handled independently by payment processors, which contribute their own security technologies to protect your payment details. Payment information doesn’t even pass through MoPlay, so there’s no chance of your details falling into the wrong hands.

The site itself is secured by industry-leading SSL encryption, protecting sensitive user information from hacks. This is replicated on mobile, with highly secure apps deploying cutting edge technology to keep you safe.

Because MoPlay is still relatively new, there’s not too much in the way of customer feedback. Of course, there are some negative reviews, which you’ll know by now is standard for any betting operator. These tend to be from punters who have lost money or who have run into problems with ID verification, or in their dealings with customer support – all pretty standard stuff. There’s nothing in the player feedback that would represent a serious problem, and on balance, it’s not hard to conclude MoPlay is a fair, safe and legitimate place to play.

Deposits & Withdrawals

MoPlay supports a standard selection of payment methods for deposit and withdrawals, covering all the usual suspects. One glaring omission being lack of PayPal support – something the Playright team hope they rectify soon. Withdrawals to Neteller and Skrill are instant after a pending time which generally runs at about 24 hours. Withdrawals to credit and debit cards run to 3-5 days.

This is consistent with most other leading bookmakers, and even though it’s not the fastest you’ll see for withdrawals, it’s still an acceptable timeframe for most players. If you’re looking for quicker withdrawals, your best bet is to play through an e-wallet like Skrill or Neteller. Deposit minimums start at just £10 across the board, with a minimum £10 withdrawal on everything except Paysafecard, where it’s £25.

Mobile

MoPlay launched with apps for iOS and Android, which carry forward the strong branding, design and layout of the MoPlay desktop site. This is perfect for betting on the go, with access to a huge range of markets from your pocket, as well as features like Power Play and Cash Out, and even daily odds upgrades. Both options combine to make the mobile experience at MoPlay first class – impressive stuff from such a new bookmaker.

Bet Offers

MoPlay is in active drive to recruit more customers. As a result, MoPlay’s welcome package is competitive, offering up £30 when you bet £10. The bonus is credited after the first bet is settled, and only applies to those over 18 setting up their first account and depositing for the first time with MoPlay.

As always, terms and conditions apply. There’s a 7 day expiry window on the bonus, so there’s work to be done to meet the withdrawal threshold in time. To qualify, you need to bet £10 at odds of 1.50 or greater, which triggers the bonus in the form of 2 x £15 free bets. It’s worth noting that the bonus must be applied as £15 bets, and cannot be divided up further.

Free bets cannot be cashed out before the end of an event, and are subject to a range of other terms and conditions. They are also not withdrawal or refundable, but there are no minimum odds or maximum win restrictions on the free bets.

This is a decent free bet offer, with much less restrictive terms than other comparable free bet offers. You must opt in to receive the bonus by clicking ‘Accept’ during the sign-up process, but based on a review of the terms and conditions, this feels like a good offer with reasonable terms and conditions.

MoPlay also runs a number of ongoing promotions and special offers, such as Odds Upgrades, Top Odds on Man Utd and Watford, Money Back as a Free Bet on selected events and more. Keep up to date with the latest offers under the Promotions tab, which keeps the bonuses flowing even after your initial free bet.

Betting Markets And Odds Quality

Football is the main sport on offer at MoPlay, and the sport that seems to attract the bulk of their focus. This makes sense, especially given MoPlay’s associations with Manchester United and Watford. You’ll find a huge range of matches on offer, including some obscure leagues, divisions and competitions you probably haven’t seen available elsewhere (like the Uzbekistan Cup). The odds on football markets are very competitive, especially for a new bookmaker, putting MoPlay in the same ballpark as some of the biggest names in the industry.

Beyond football, MoPlay offers betting on a wide range of sports including tennis, horse racing, basketball, snooker and rugby. There are even some less common sports available, like chess, floorball, surfing and trotting – so there really is something for everyone at MoPlay.

MoPlay do enough in their betting markets to feel different to most other sportsbooks. When combined with their strong odds and relentless odds promotions, particularly around football, this makes MoPlay a sportsbook with enough markets and odds quality to compete with more established bookies.

In-Play Betting

In-play betting is available online and through MoPlay’s mobile apps, giving you the chance to bet on a range of events as the action unfolds. The default betting screen on the MoPlay homepage is a list of ‘Live Now’ events, showing you the total number of sporting events that are currently underway. You can choose different sports from the navigation menu to see which tennis matches or football fixtures are in play, so it’s easy to flick between different sports at any time. At the time of writing there was 6 live football games on offer and 9 sports in total. Not a huge amount admittedly, but that could be down to the specific time/day of the review.

Cashout is available too, giving you the opportunity to settle your bet early for a guaranteed price now. There is no live streaming, but there are graphical representations of the action unfolding, and statistics which are kept up to date during each match to help inform your betting decisions.

Support

If you need a helping hand, MoPlay has a dedicated ‘Solutions Squad’ on hand to pick up your problem. Their support agents are very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, which is pretty much all you could ask for from your sportsbook. They can be contacted by live chat, which is the most responsive, or by email or post for more substantial enquiries or complaints. There’s also a great ‘Help’ section packed with common support questions and answers, which can assist in the first instance – look for the green ‘Help’ button at the top right of the main betting page.

Review Summary

Making a mark as a new bookmaker means you need to launch with a bang. MoPlay have done exactly that, with the combination of high profile sponsorships, bold marketing and a quality sportsbook. It’s clear that there has been a focus on building a sports betting platform that offers customers exactly what they want on both desktop and mobile, combining great betting features and good odds across a wide range of markets.

The lack of phone support and PayPal might be an issue for some players, and it’s true that MoPlay doesn’t yet have as many markets on offer as bigger names like Betfair. But there’s no doubt that MoPlay is certainly one of the most exciting new betting brands to launch in sports betting in some time.

On this basis, MoPlay earns an 8 out of 10, dampened only by the fact they are still new to the market. With more of a track record behind them, and more tweaks and improvements along the way, there’s no reason why this couldn’t go up to a 9 or 10.
