Overview
Newly established in 2019, Campeon UK aims to provide customers with a top-quality casino experience. The Campeon casino brand is already well known with similar sites for other European countries but now Campeon brings their experience to the UK market. No matter what type of game you enjoy, Campeon UK looks to give something for everyone. There’s a huge selection of casino games, slots and jackpots plus a VIP scheme and interesting bonuses available. Owned by EvoPlay LTD and operated in the UK by AG Communications Limited, Campeon UK is the latest site for UK casino enthusiasts. Read on for our full review to get the full details and find out whether you should sign up.
Safety and Trustworthiness
If you’re planning on signing up to an online casino the first thing you should look into is how trustworthy the site is and whether your money and personal details will be kept safe. It’s always best to check whether the site holds a full licence from the relevant authority, this ensures that they adhere to guidelines to ensure fair practices and that your money is protected. Campeon UK has a gambling licence from the UK Gambling Commission so all above board there.
Another sign that you can trust a site is whether they are independently tested by a lab to ensure that games return to player rates are fair and comply with standards set by the commission. In the case of Campeon UK, they have a certificate from iTech Labs which states that RTP rates are fair. Although the certificate is dated 2008, more than ten years before Campeon UK was established. The certificate also doesn’t mention Campeon UK but instead talks about NeoPoint Technologies. Perhaps this is an error by the site’s creator.
You should also always check to see that the site uses some form of encryption when choosing an online casino. Encryption is needed to prevent your personal and payment details being accessed without your permission. Campeon UK does use encryption, they claim to use the latest 128-bit encryption which is needed to keep your information secure.
As it’s still a new site, there aren’t many user reviews available online to asses the trustworthiness. Overall, user reviews about Campeon UK’s sister sites, however, are positive, with no mention of unfair games or problems accessing funds.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Plenty of different payment methods are supported by Campeon UK with all of the most popular methods covered. Unfortunately, bank transfers aren’t available for UK customers at this time.
Deposit times are instant but withdrawals can take up to 8 business days to process by the casino before being released. There’s no mention of withdrawal limits on the site.
Bonuses
As with other online casinos, Campeon UK offers new customers a welcome bonus once they sign up. Any new customer will receive a 100% bonus on their first deposit, up to £25 plus 25 free spins on a selected slot game. As far as welcome bonuses go, it’s not the biggest but it’s still a reasonable offer for experienced and casual players alike. Some online casinos may offer larger welcome bonuses but Campeon UK offers a bonus which is free from a lot of confusing terms and conditions.
There are still terms to bear in mind when using the welcome bonus, however. First, you have to deposit at least £20 to qualify for the bonus, remember that if you want the full bonus of £25, your first deposit has to be at least £25. The welcome bonus will then be unlocked automatically, but you won’t be able to cash it out just yet. Before withdrawing, you’ll need to wager it at least 35 times.
You’ll have 21 days to wager your bonus amount before it expires so you’ll need to be quick. If you don’t wager the bonus 35 times in this time, you’ll miss out on the whole bonus and any winnings you received from it.
The bonus also includes 25 free spins on the popular slot game, Starburst. These free spins have to be used within one day of them being credited to your account. Any winnings from the free spins will need to be wagered at least 50 times before being cashed out. On top of this, you unfortunately won’t be able to win more than £100 from these spins.
Game Selection
The site does have a good variety of games provided by top developers. Slot games such as Starburst, Book of Dead, Fire Joker and Double Stacks are available alongside all the classic table casino games with lots of variations of Roulette, Poker and Blackjack. Developers such as NetEnt, Microgaming, Red Tiger and Play n’ Go all have games available to play on the site.
The only downside is that it’s pretty difficult to find your way around on Campeon UK. Currently, there are no easy to navigate sections or menus to help you find what you’re looking for. The main page features the most popular slot games, but outside of that, you’ll have to use the search to find the game you want to play. There is a search function, but it’s quite slow and doesn’t always work very well when trying to find certain games.
Mobile App
There’s no mobile app currently available for Campeon UK but the site works fine on all mobile devices. Whether you’re using a tablet, iPhone, Android or Windows device, you simply use your browser to open the site and play as normal. The site has the same functionality as when using your computer.
Promotions
On top of the welcome bonus for new customers, Campeon UK also offers a few incentives for their current customers. Each week, players take part in “The Race” which is a leaderboard based competition where the leader at the end of the week claims a £1500 prize. Throughout the week, points are earned for each £1 that you bet on certain slot games on the site. The top ten players will each win a prize which can be cashed out immediately, with no need to wager it. This is a nice way to incentivise playing games on the site although it’s likely that only serious players will be able to win the top prize.
In addition to the race, Campeon UK has a tiered VIP programme that rewards players for how much they bet. Every bet you make on the site earns you points which can be used to level up your VIP status. Higher levels of VIP mean you can access free games, receive birthday bonuses, be invited to VIP tournaments and have faster payment processing. Once you’ve unlocked certain VIP levels with your points, you’ll also be able to exchange points for cash, with higher levels giving more cash.
Support
Although the site promises customer support 7 days a week, there is no contact information available on the Campeon UK site. The “Contact Us” link doesn’t work, neither does the Live Chat and there’s no phone number or email address listed anywhere.
Review Summary
Although Campeon UK shows some promise, it’s clear that the site needs more work to get it up to standards. There’s a good selection of games available and we like the VIP system and weekly prizes but it’s difficult to find and play games that you’re looking for. The search doesn’t work particularly well and there are no menus to navigate from.
The welcome bonus is alright but nothing particularly impressive and although it may be worth signing up to get the free £25 and spins, we’d like to see more transparency on the RTP rates. The iTech certificate used on the site appears to be incorrect and on top of that, there’s no customer support available right now. If Campeon UK can sort out their issues, we’d be happy to recommend it, right now though, it still could use some work.
