Viking Bingo invites you to sign up and open the Loot Chest for up to 500 free spins. This Jumpman Gaming-powered site offers something a little different than the average UK bingo site, with a big focus on unique promos and tournaments. Added to that, there is a vast collection of online slots – well over 500 – that makes Viking Bingo worth a closer look.

Safety and Trustworthiness

Viking Gaming is owned and operated by Jumpman Gaming Limited, which owns about a dozen other sites like Dove Bingo. Jumpman is also a software specialist, partnering with well over 100 casinos and bingo sites around Europe. It is a growing company with 10 years’ experience and one that has designs on being a big player in the UK online bingo market.

Viking Bingo has a license from the UK Gambling Commission as well as the Alderney Gambling Control Commission for players outside of Great Britain. Viking Bingo has a certificate from SQS, a respected independent body that tests games for fairness. The Viking Bingo website also holds accreditation from GoDaddy with respect to the security of your data and personal transactions.

Viking Bingo gets mainly positive appraisals from bingo review sites and player comments. Jumpman Gaming itself also has a positive – and growing – reputation. Most reviews highlight the vast number of slot games and the innovative approach to promotions as the major plus points.

Deposits & Withdrawals

You can deposit and withdraw using credit/debit cards, PayPal, Paysafecard or Pay by Mobile, which pretty much covers all bases. Withdrawals under £30 will have a £2.50 charge attached to them. That gets a thumbs down from us, as does the 72-hour processing time.

Bonuses and Promotions

Viking Bingo’s signature welcome bonus invites you to dig into the Loot Chest to win free spins (up to 500) and Amazon vouchers. The Loot Chest is essentially a variation of the Mega Wheel, which is seen on other Jumpman sites like Dove Bingo and Amazon Slots. We must point out that opening the Loot Chest does not guarantee a prize. However, you can open the Loot Chest each time you make a £20 deposit.

If you win an Amazon voucher (all with a value of £10), the voucher will be emailed to you within 7 days. Winnings from free spins are added to your bonus balance and must be wagered 65 times on slots (progressive games are excluded) before you can make a withdrawal. Winnings from free spins are capped at a maximum of £250.

In our opinion, those terms and conditions are somewhat draconian. We would particularly like to see the wagering requirements cut in half. The tough bonus terms are redeemed to some extent by the fact you can withdraw your deposit balance at any time, albeit by forfeiting in remaining bonus.

While we take issue with some parts of the welcome bonus, we must applaud Viking Bingo’s cashback scheme. You can earn up to 10% cash back (calculated as total deposits minus withdrawals and balance) every day. For new players, this cashback rate is doubled for the first 31 days. Nice! Simply go to the My Account section and claim. Other promos include daily free bingo and an extended happy hour period on Wednesday evenings.

In addition, there are lots of missions – termed Trophies by Viking Bingo – which you can complete to earn chances to open the Loot Chest. These missions could be something simple and inexpensive to attempt, such as playing three slots in one day, or a bit more costly, like making three deposits in a fortnight. There are 100s of different ways to earn a Trophy at Viking Bingo, covering everything from playing 1000 spins on a slot to winning multiple games of bingo.

You can become a VIP at Viking Bingo by collecting Kudos points by playing games. The more you deposit and play, the higher you’ll move up the tiers. The top tier, Black, gets the best cashback rates and awards special promotions, such as a spin on the Black Mega Wheel. All players entering the loyalty scheme can get special treats, such as bonuses on their birthday.

Game Selection

There are two ways of looking at Viking Bingo: As a bingo site with a huge offering of slots, but a small selection of bingo games; or, as an online slots site that happens to offer some online bingo. If you think of it as the latter, you are probably closest to the truth and less likely to be disappointed. Viking Bingo has five bingo rooms, which are open during the day (from 8 am) and close at night. The selection of games, limited to 90-ball and 75-ball bingo, isn’t that varied, and there aren’t the big jackpot games that you will find on many other sites.

However, if you like slots, Viking Bingo has one of the biggest collections of any UK bingo site. Well over 550 games are available on the site, with games coming from the world’s best software developers, such as Blueprint Gaming, NetEnt, IGT, Microgaming and Eyecon. That means you will find the likes of Bonanza, Dead or Alive, El Jackpotto, Foxin’ Wins and the entire Rainbow Riches series at Viking Bingo.

There are also 42 jackpot slots at Viking Bingo, with an accumulative total reaching tens of millions. Some big hitters are there, including Fluffy Jackpot and Mega Moolah, but there are also a couple of less well-known jackpot games, like Unicorn Bliss Jackpot and Frank’s Freakin Spins. Table and card games are limited to a selection of just four titles, but poker, blackjack and roulette are all available.

The layout of the site at Viking Bingo is definitely a big plus point, with cool graphics and a neat organization of all the tabs and games. It’s especially commendable that Viking Bingo keeps you up to date with all your points, wagering requirements, missions and other useful information through different tabs. CMs are friendly at Viking Bingo, but there isn’t always a large pool of players engaging in the chat. Viking Bingo has a Facebook page, which you can follow to hear about the latest news and promos.

Viking Bingo does not have a bingo mobile app, but you can play games on your phone or tablet instantly on the mobile site. In fact, the Viking Bingo mobile site is top notch and has a lovely design and layout, feeling just like an app and taking all the best elements of the desktop site. The majority of slots have been carried over from the main site, giving you access to over 500 games, as well as the five bingo rooms. Viking Bingo does not offer bonuses specific to mobile bingo players.

Review Summary

It’s almost disappointing because Viking Bingo could be one of the best bingo sites in the UK if it fixed two issues: the way-too-tough bonus terms and conditions attached to the Loot Chest, and the paltry offer of bingo games and times. The choice of slots, loyalty scheme, promotions and commitment to innovation salvage the situation somewhat, but it feels like Viking Bingo is a missed opportunity. We will give it 6/10, but we hope to come back to see some improvements in the near future.
