UPDATE: Due to problematic terms and condition we can no longer recommend Foxy Casino. Please visit instead one of our recommended sites including Hippodrome Casino and Dunder Casino

Emerging from its hole in 2015, Foxy Casino is an offshoot of Foxy Bingo and a part of the Cassava Enterprises (888 Group) family. Although it features some of the unique games created by 888, Foxy has its own unique style that should appeal to those who are taking their first tentative steps in the iGaming industry. If you’re looking for more info read our detailed Foxy Casino review to find out.

Safety and Trustworthiness

Foxy Casino may have only come into the frame back in 2015, but it’s owned and operated by Cassava Enterprises. To put this in context, Cassava Enterprises is a part of 888 UK Limited, one of the world’s largest online gaming operators. Under the banner of Cassava, Foxy instantly has a reputable footing from which to build its own name in the industry. In addition to its links with a publicly listed company, Foxy Casino has the benefit of being an offshoot of Foxy Bingo. One of the original online bingo sites, Foxy built up a glitzy reputation for using celebrities to extol the virtues of the industry and its own site.

As well as the benefits of being linked to some major brands in the iGaming industry, Foxy Casino is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). Moreover, because Cassava also owns software development company Dragonfish, Foxy Casino’s games are not only unique but certified as safe and fair. In terms of what the playing public thinks, The Pogg has given Foxy Casino a fairly low rating when it comes to trustworthiness. Although the issues are mainly linked to third-party disputes with Cassava, this does suggest you may run into some issues when it comes to dispute resolution.

As for opinions from players not linked to any review sites, there has only been one problem raised on AskGamblers. Fortunately, this only relates to an issue with choosing a username that hasn’t already been taken by someone. Not exactly a reason to stay clear of the site

Deposits & Withdrawals

Foxy Casino offers four banking options, including PayPal, with a minimum limit of £10 both in terms of deposits and withdrawals. This limited selection of payment options is combined with a longer than average pending period of 48 hours. Overall, the average wait time for your funds will around five days, even with an eWallet such as PayPal, which is something that could be frustrating for players familiar with online casinos.

Foxy Casino’s welcome bonus is worth 200% of your initial investment when you deposit £20 or more. However, a cap on the max bonus does mean it’s somewhat limited if you’re a high roller. When you compare Foxy Casino to an similarly new platform like Dunder which offers as much as £600 in bonus cash, the £100 does seem a little feeble. However, there is an advantage to having a smaller bonus and that’s the fact you won’t be restricted by wagering conditions for a long period of time.

Whenever you claim an online casino bonus, the site in question will restrict your maximum bet and require you to wager a certain amount before you can request a withdrawal. Breach any of the conditions and you’ll typically lose your bonus. Based on this, it makes sense that a smaller bonus can be cleared quicker than a large one which, therefore, means you won’t have your play restricted for an extended period of time.

Looking at Foxy’s conditions in more detail, the playthrough is 35X and you’ll have 90 days to meet the minimum number of bets. Compared to the industry average of 40X, Foxy Casino’s terms and conditions are a bit more appealing. So, while the amount you can receive is slightly lower than some sites, the conditions mean you aren’t held under a restrictive yoke for too long.

Game Selection

Busy would be the first word that springs to mind when you first land on the Foxy Casino homepage. At the top of the page, headers and banners precede the ever-familiar gaming grid. Under most circumstances, this level of detail on a single page is confusing. During our review, we did find the layout was a little feature-heavy, but the designers have come up with a few clever ways to make the experience a little more efficient.

The first feature you can switch at your leisure is the “view” button. Instead of having to take in the full flow of a gaming grid, you can remove the headers and reduce the gaming grid into snippets of information. In simple terms, when you click the view button, you’ll be able to scroll down the homepage and review the highlights of each game category. From the top-rated games to jackpot slots and live casino games, the condensed view allows you to get a bite sized insight into the best each category has to offer.

In addition to this feature, the black background is a subtle yet effective way to make everything feel more digestible. Even though it would be nice to see the number of images and animations reduced, the fact you don’t have a kaleidoscope of garish colours to contend with does help the situation. Finally, because the desktop site is powered by Adobe’s Flash technology, everything can be scaled to suit the size of your browsing window. Moreover, each game you play opens in a popup window so you don’t have to keep clicking your mouse in order to move back-and-forth between the menu and what you’re playing.

Some unique gaming options…

Once you’ve acquainted yourself with the set-up, you’ll find a selection of free play and real money casino games from a roster of leading suppliers. NextGen Gaming, OpenBet and NetEnt products are all present and correct. Interestingly, unlike many leading online casinos, Foxy Casino has access to Cassava Enterprises’ software. Although games from this 888-owned developer aren’t always highly regarded by seasoned players, the fact Foxy has the ability to offer a selection of games you don’t typically find elsewhere is something a little different.

One Cassava game that may pique the interests of some players is the progressive jackpot slot, Millionaire Genie. Again, although the software and gameplay might not be as slick as similar products such as Mega Moolah, the fact you have access to another fairly unique game with a jackpot capable of topping £1 million can’t be a bad thing.

Games from four different software providers many not match the 30+ offered by Videoslots but it does beat the Playtech only games features on so many of the betting sites.

Beyond Millionaire Genie, you’ll get access to the following gaming options when you join Foxy Casino:

  • Table Games, including: Deal or No Deal Roulette, Baccarat, Sidebet Blackjack and Deuces Wild.
  • Jackpot Games, including: Mega Fortune, Hall of Gods and Irish Riches.
  • Instant Wins, including: Slingo, Cash Buster and Mayan Legends.
  • Live Casino Games, including: Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat Squeeze, Caribbean Stud, Casino Hold’em and Dream Catcher.
  • Scratchcards, including: Foxin Wins, Viva Mundial and Zodiac Fortune.

Another nice addition to the Foxy Casino games roster is the high limit section with 12 slots where the stakes range from £1 to £1,000+. Having the ability to entice high rollers as well as casual players is something few casinos can manage, but something Foxy does well.

Mobile App

Foxy has dedicated iOS and Android  casino apps. Weighing in at just over 16mb, the app offers a number of benefits over its desktop counterpart. In the first instance, you can choose to receive push notifications which tell you when a new game or bonus goes live without you actually having to be inside the app.

Beyond this, all new mobile players will get access to the 200% welcome bonus we described above, as well as £10 in free credits. This extra £10 is a great way to get you to try an app which, in our opinion, is easier to use than the main site. Unlike the desktop interface that’s filled with features, Foxy Casino is a lot simpler. Bold buttons and a swipe up/down search system means that you don’t really have to do that much to access your favourite games.

In fact, some could say that the mobile interface is a little too simple. However, we like the way there is a large button you have to press when you make a deposit and how can you swipe left and right to move between game categories. Too often, mobile casino apps try to cram too much into a small space. Foxy’s developers haven’t fallen into this trap, which means you can play your favourite games on the go without the minimum amount of fuss.

Finally, when it comes to gaming options, the Foxy Casino mobile app offers 292 games covering: Slots, Table Games, Live Casino Games, Scratchcards, Instant Wins and Jackpot Games. In terms of quality, 292 is a solid number of options and the addition of live dealer tables is appealing. For us, however, the instant win games were the most impressive touch. Although there are only five options, the fact you can play arcade-style games such as Cash Blocks (roll the dice and match coloured blocks to win up to £150k) and Big Money Slingo (a type of bingo where you spin reels to match numbers on a game grid) is a definite plus.

Where the welcome bonus might be slightly lacking in terms of size, the list of regular promotions is a bit meatier. For example, every Friday you can claim up to three reload bonuses when you deposit £10+ using the code Power. Based on a 50% multiplier, the deals give you the chance to unlock as much as £50 with each deposit. What’s more, if you use the code three times in a day, you’ll receive 50 free spins on top of your bonus cash. However, even though this is a nice little extra, you can only win a maximum of £10 from your spins.

In addition to this deal, the 1 for 1 promotion on a Monday gives you one free spin for every £1 you deposit. Although you’ll have to opt in and deposit at least £20 to activate this deal, there are 50 free spins up for grabs every week. Again, however, you will only be able to win £10 from your free spins which, to us, is on the low side. Finally, if you’re a serious player and want to move beyond the general deals that are clearly designed for small stakes gamers, you can contact the site and ask to become a VIP.

After reviewing your credentials (i.e. your deposits, account balance and stakes you play for), you can become a VIP and receive the following benefits:

  • Weekly cashback on losses
  • Tailored bonuses
  • Fast-track withdrawals
  • Special bonuses and promos
  • Invites to luxury experiences and events

Overall, this VIP scheme is certainly attractive on the surface and, perhaps, one of the main reasons high rollers will want to join the site. However, it would be nice to have at least some indication of what it takes to become a VIP.

Review Summary

Overall, the bulk of Foxy Casino’s offering is aimed at newbies and casual players. Although experiences players get access to 200+ high quality games, including some you’ll only find at a handful of platforms, the bonuses are more suited to those at the start of their iGaming journey. Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t find some juicy action if you like to wager more. The high limit section and VIP scheme are impressive and certainly provide plenty of scope for some serious wins.

One blackmark against Foxy Casino is its banking provisions. Four payment processing options is well below the industry average and, although some of the major companies are available, you will have to sit through a 48-hour pending period. This is not only longer than the most major casinos, but it means you will have to wait, on average, five days to receive your funds.

In general, the site gives the bulk of its attention to low stakes players which is something reflected in a design and usability core of nine. Unfortunately, thanks to scores of seven for banking and bonus, the overall rating has dropped to 7.8 which suggests this site may not be entirely suited to high volume players. If you’re new to the industry and want a simple place to play, Foxy scores well. However, if you want lucrative bonuses and fast cashout times, there may be better options among our recommended platforms.
