The veritable new kid on the block, MansionBet went live at the start of 2018 as the Mansion Group’s first sports betting site. As part of this holding company MansionBet has a UK Gambling Commission license (UKGC), and the benefit of a highly experienced team behind it. Signing up you’ll get access to a slick interface packed with odds and offers as well as casino games and poker. If you’re looking for a fresh site that covers all the bases MansionBet could well become a site to try.

January 12, 2023, update: In an email to customers, MansionBet said that it would be closing its sports betting site in order to more fully concentrate on its online casino offerings.

Safety and Trustworthiness

When it comes to MansionBet as a sport betting site, there isn’t really much to go on in terms of reputation. Because the platform only went live in February 2018, customers are still finding their feet when it comes to the site’s operational standards. However, there are a few things that tell us MansionBet is a reputable place to play. The first is that its part of the Mansion Group, as well as being licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), the company has been active since 2007. During that time, it’s built up a full suite of casino (Casino.com, Mansion Casino and Slotsheaven), poker (Mansion Poker) and now a sports betting options.

Of course, this doesn’t mean Mansion is perfect. According to The Pogg, there have been issues with complaint handling and resolution in the past. However, in recent years, the company has worked to address these shortcomings and is now inching closer to a more transparent system. Based on this combination of experience and regulatory accreditation, there’s no reason to think MansionBet isn’t secure and trustworthy. In fact, when you add Thawte secured software and an affiliation with IBAS (the Independent Betting Adjudication Service) into the mix, the evidence would suggest you’re covered from all sides.

Whilst reviewing MansionBet we also noticed a reality check feature. In simple terms, this feature allows you to specify a timeframe (from 15 minutes to 1 hour or never) during which a pop-up will appear to show you how long you’ve been active. The purpose of the reality check is to give you more control over your sessions, so you don’t spend too long online without a break. This, for us, is a nice touch and something that complements the main safety features you’ll find inside this betting site.

Deposits & Withdrawals

If you’re conscious of your bankroll, MansionBet allows you to set your own weekly deposit limit between £10 and £10,000. For those that prefer a little more freedom, you can forgo this feature and deposit between £10 and £25,000 per transaction. One issue we did have with MansionBet’s payment system was that you can only use a credit or debit card. In a time when eWallets and other solutions are available, this is a negative we can’t gloss over.

When it comes to withdrawals, the maximum you can cash-out in a single day is £100,000 and there’s a 48-hour pending processing period in place.

Mobile

At present, MansionBet doesn’t have a dedicated betting app. The desktop site is responsive though meaning that its optimized to work on any mobile device. In short, this means you can access the full roster of betting markets and odds via your iOS, Android, Blackberry or Window Phone device.

One thing that is worth noting is that Mansion Casino is available as an iOS and Android app. This would suggest that it won’t be long before the developers get around to offering the same for sports betting. If and when this happens, you can expect touch controls, push notifications and, potentially, mobile-specific bonuses. In the meantime though lack of a mobile betting app is certainly a glaring hole that needs to be filled.

Bet Offers

Before you kick-off your first session at MansionBet, a 50% deposit multiplier is on hand to help boost your potential earnings. Valid for your first deposit when you use the bonus code MB50, this deal gives you 50% extra up to £50. Unlike a traditional free bet this offer works like a casino promotion.

At many of the top betting operators, your welcome bonus will come in the form of free or matched bet. In other words, once you make an opening wager, the operator will give you an equivalent amount as a free bet. These credits can then be used to bet on a sporting event and, if your bet wins you’ll receive a real money payout minus the bonus credits.

In contrast, when you join MansionBet, you’ll receive bonus credits based on the size of your deposit. These credits can be used immediately but you won’t be able to withdraw your free cash or any associated winnings until you’ve wagered 6X the deposit + bonus amount. This offer has its positives and negatives. As a negative you will have to work harder to receive your bonus. Under the traditional system, you only need to make a single bet, however at MansionBet you’ll have to be a lot more active.

On the positive side, you get your free credits upf ront, meaning you can start betting without using your own money. Secondly, you get more bang for your buck. If you can deposit enough to unlock £50 in bonus cash, that could be as much as 5X more than you’d receive at a site offering a standard welcome bonus. Essentially, if you’re someone that wants a bit more value and you prefer to play with someone else’s money before you use your own, MansionBet’s offer is worth taking.

Betting Markets And Odds Quality

MansionBet has made a smart move by partnering with SBTech. For those in the know, SBTech is the same software and odds provider behind established sites such as NetBet, ComeOn and 10Bet. As well as providing more than 20,000 live bets per month (more on this in the next section), SBTech offers 2,000+ betting markets every day of the week.

For MansionBet customers, this means prices on hundreds of lines across 33 sports every day. As you’d expect, football lines and horse racing top the bill, with the former being enhanced by the MansionBet Acca Club. By opting in to the “club”, you’ll receive a £10 bonus each week when you make a set number of accumulator bets. For horse racing fans, daily statistics are complemented by a calendar of domestic and international racing odds.

One thing we did note is that MansionBet doesn’t have a best odds guarantee. When you look at a sports betting sites such as William Hill or bet365, you’ll get a guarantee that ensures you receive the best horse and greyhound racing odds available online. Unfortunately, MansionBet can’t make the same promises.

Still, SBTech’s software does allow Mansion’s team to monitor the daily markets and adjust its prices in real-time. Moreover, there is also scope for MansionBet to set its own payouts. In practical terms, this means the operator can offer better deals on selected events than other SBTech platforms. This certainly helps to make MansionBet standout both among its peers and its immediate competitors.

In-Play Betting

Working with SBTech Mansionbet offers 20,000+ in-play markets every month. At the time of writing we found live odds on:Football, Tennis, Futsal, Handball, Basketball, Cricket, Ice Hockey, Table Tennis, Volleyball

Immediately, you can see that many of the major sports are covered and this should give regular punters plenty of reasons to ante-up. However, the real reason we feel MansionBet has the edge on some of the industry’s other operators is that it offers live odds on exotic sports. Futsal (a version of indoor football) is something you’ll find at many of the leading sportsbooks, but not necessarily in the live betting section. Admittedly there probably won’t be many takers on Fustbal in-play betting but its a sign that Mansion is investing in its product from the go. One important thing to note though is that there’s no live streaming available.

Review Summary

Being a brand new betting site there are a few holes in MansionBets package including best odds guarantees, iOS/Android apps and more payment options. However, these are holes that can  be plugged in the coming months and being part of the Mansion stable affords this site a number of advantages, not least a team that has more than a decade of experience in the industry. Based on this and the current set-up, we expect MansionBet to make strides in the sports betting market in the future. For the time being  though we’re giving this site 7/10.
