Billed as a new, revolutionary bingo website, MrQ has launched in the UK with a stated goal of doing things differently. Operated by a casino and bingo software expert, Lindar Media, MrQ Bingo runs on one-of-a-kind software and is committed to fairness for all. That means you’ll find unique bingo games and promotions free from wagering requirements. Does MrQ match its bold claim of being revolutionary? Or, is it all just bravado? Read our detailed review of Mr Q Bingo to find out.

Safety and Trustworthiness

MrQ is a UK bingo site, with its parent company, Lindar Media, based just outside London. MrQ is fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, holding no remote licenses from overseas bodies. MrQ also partners with IBAS UK, an independent body that oversees any disputes and complaints not resolved by the operator.

MrQ uses SSL Data encryption for all transactions, which means that payments and your information are secured when they are sent over the internet. Payment methods are also PCI compliant, meaning card details are protected to the highest standard. Games are independently monitored for fairness, using Random Number Generators (RNGs) to ensure unbiased outcomes.

Lindar Media has a good reputation in the gaming industry, operating a handful of other casino and bingo sites. There are no outstanding grievances against the company and, indeed, it is widely lauded for its commitment to new innovations and customer service. Moreover, UK bingo players will appreciate that Lindar Media is front-facing, having UK offices, telephone numbers etc.

MrQ launched in late 2018, so there isn’t a huge amount of player feedback or reviews elsewhere online. However, most available reviews are wholly positive about MrQ, with players keen to cite the unique software, no wagering requirements and opportunities for free bingo as the major plus points. The positive feedback has had some tangible results too, as MrQ was awarded Best Propriety Bingo Site 2019 at the Players’ Choice Awards. There are, however, a couple of niggles with the MrQ site, which we will highlight later in this review.

Deposits & Withdrawals

For all the innovation and modern feel to the MrQ bingo site, a lack of options for payment methods looks like a big oversight. VISA, MasterCard and Pay by Mobile are the only methods available. Because you can only withdraw to a credit/debit card, this can hold up the withdrawal time by a few days as your bank processes the transaction. At least one internet wallet should be added.

Bonuses and Promotions

A refreshingly simple welcome bonus is offered by MrQ. You will receive a £20 Bingo Bonus & 30 Free Spins when you deposit and spend £10. The spins are valued at £0.10 and are awarded when you spend £20 within 12 hours of your first deposit. It’s worth noting that there are no wagering requirements attached to the free spins, but the free spins must be used within 48 hours of qualifying. Thus, you can keep any winnings and withdraw if you like. Just enter the code: BINGO20 when you sign up.

Indeed, while the welcome bonus from MrQ has quite a small monetary value, the lack of wagering requirements applies to all promotions and bonuses offered to new and existing players. That includes the six free bingo tickets for 30 games offered to all new players at MrQ – regardless if you make a deposit or not. Now, the top prize in these bingo games is just £5, but with 30 games available, you can make up to £150 in real withdrawable cash.

Once you have registered, MrQ will then offer various small bonuses, such as 10 free spins for verifying your mobile number and 20 free spins when you encourage a friend to sign up to a site. Admittedly, these promotions are small, but when added together they can really boost your bankroll. Moreover, the fact they are all wager-free spins means you will always be assured you are winning real cash. It’s worth noting that player feedback has stated that MrQ often gives out tailor-made bonuses and unique promotional opportunities to individual player accounts.

Game Selection

MrQ uses unique in-house software, meaning you won’t find the bingo games anywhere else. For some, this is a matter of taste. On a big network, like Microgaming or Virtue Fusion, you might get popular, well-known games and bigger prizes. However, with an in-house network, you will find unique games and a smaller pool of players shooting for those progressive jackpot payouts.

As it stands, MrQ offers bingo in 11 different rooms, all of which are 75-ball and 90-ball bingo games. The highlight is the Rock and Rollover bingo room, a 75-ball room which offers a big jackpot for relatively cheap tickets. Other popular rooms include Popcorn (90-ball) and Winner Takes All (75-ball). In the end, we would like to see a bit more variation in the choice of bingo rooms, including some 50-ball and themed bingo games.

You can play over 100 slots games at MrQ, with EyeCon and Thunderkick the software developers behind the majority of them. That means you will find lots of popular titles regularly found on other bingo sites, including 99Time, Fluffy Favourites, Five Ninjas and Borg the Berserker. Almost 40 slots have progressive jackpots, Including the popular Irish Luck, Heart Burst and Kitty Payout Jackpot. There are no table, card or classic casino games available to play at MrQ.

Arguably, the strongest suit of MrQ Bingo is the layout and feel of the site. It’s stylish, slick and easy to use, following a more minimalistic approach that new sites seem to favor. More importantly, there is an openness to the MrQ site, with easy access to how-to guides, customer service, technical support and so on. Indeed, the support center is second to none, providing tips and answers to everything from making a deposit by mobile to how games are tested for fairness.

Mobile App

The MrQ mobile bingo app, which can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the Apple App Store, is just as fresh and stylish as the desktop site. It doesn’t have any of the bugginess that can sometimes blight other apps, and you can see a lot of attention has gone into making it easy to use and accessible. In terms of mobile bingo games, you get access to the same 11 bingo rooms that are available on the desktop site. All 111 slots make it over from the main site, including the 38 with progressive jackpots. All in all, a snazzy mobile app, but we would like to a few differences from the desktop site, perhaps even including special promotions for mobile bingo players.

Support

MrQ is fairly active on social media, holding accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. MrQ will often post on the latest new games to hit the site, also providing information on new promos and competitions you may have missed. We like to see bingo operators properly engage with players on social media, rather than just engage in marketing posts, so it’s nice to see MrQ encouraging its followers to chat, swap pictures of pets and so on. Worth a follow on your social media account.

Review Summary

Rather than revolutionize all aspects of online bingo, MrQ simply does a few things very, very well. Taking away all wagering requirements from every promo is a bold step and will no doubt attract some players who are sick of Ts & Cs attached to their bonuses. The site is also an example of how a bingo site should look – sleek, modern and easy to use. The downsides are all fixable – very fixable. Just add some more payment methods and add some variety to the games and MrQ could be one of the best new bingo sites in the UK. For the moment, it gets 8 out of 10, but there is definitely the scope to improve that. We will come back and check on MrQ’s progress very soon.
