Glossy Bingo is immediately reminiscent of glossy gossip magazines – the kind you’d find adorning the coffee table of any hairdresser worth their salt. This speaks volumes about Glossy Bingo and their ethos. It manages to combine the friendly informality of a bingo club with the glossy celebrity glamour factor its players have already come to know and love.

Glossy Bingo is all about creating a sense of community, and giving its players a place to enjoy the social elements of bingo and feel valued as individuals, as well playing for big prizes. With plenty of game variations available thanks to the Microgaming software, and a number of ongoing promos and events to keep you engaged, this site has all the features in place to be a star.

Safety and Trustworthiness

Before we get down to the nitty-gritty, it’s important to take a moment to address the trustworthiness of Glossy Bingo. The site is run by Broadway Gaming Limited, a privately held company that runs a handful of bingo sites (such as Rosy Bingo) as well as an online casino, Casino of Dreams. So this is no fly-by-night operation, and with plenty of sites in their portfolio, you can rest assured you’re playing in safe hands.

It holds a license from the UK Gambling Commission, which allows it to accept UK-based players, in addition to a license from the Malta Gaming Authority for international customers. That means they are doubly regulated, and subject to two of the most stringent compliance regimes in the world – all designed to give you the secure, transparent bingo you would expect from a big name.

Glossy Bingo has come a long way since its launch in 2016

Deposits & Withdrawals

There are a number of payment methods you can use with Glossy Bingo, including popular e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, but no PayPal yet.

Bonuses and Promotions

Glossy Bingo welcomes new players into the fold with a decent welcome offer. By depositing £10, you can play with £40, but only if you’re depositing for the first time as a new player. The bonus is sweetened further with an additional 100 free spins on Microgaming slot, Bar Bar Black Sheep.

The bonus comes with a wagering requirement of 5x, however, so you’ll need to play through your bonus five full times before you will be eligible to withdraw any winnings from it.

This is a decent enough bonus, in our view. While the amount of the welcome is pretty standard by bingo standards, the wagering requirement is about average, and roughly what we’d expect to see from a bingo welcome bonus. It’s not too difficult to meet these wagering requirements within the three-week time limit, so while they might not be the lowest you’ll find, it’s not exactly an insurmountable challenge.

One annoyance was the fact that it’s not easy to locate the bonus terms and conditions, which are mixed in with the general site terms and conditions, and require you to search up and down through unrelated clauses to work out exactly where you stand. It’s a shame because transparency is above average on the site, in general.

There are also promos running every day of the week for new and existing players alike, giving you plenty of more chances to win cash prizes, or pick up more bonus credit along the way.

The Promos calendar, linked on their website’s main navigation, allows you to easily keep track of the specials and promos you can expect in the days and weeks to come. Really, though, there isn’t too much variety here. Most of the promos revolve around regularly scheduled jackpot games, most of which can be found in the Broadway Room, a networked room shared with other Broadway Gaming properties, such as Butlers Bingo and Rehab Bingo.

One standout is the end-of-month blowout, Win 10k in 2 Hours promotion, which sees ten £1,000 games played in the space of two hours. If you’re looking for reload bonuses and free spins, you’ll have to make your way up the VIP ladder. There are four levels (Rising Star, TV Star, Film Star, and Super Star), and as you move up you can gain access to increasingly generous offers, including 50% bingo bonuses and 50% slots bonuses – once per week.

There isn’t enough clarity about how you earn the loyalty points that propel you up the ladder, only that you earn them by wagering on all games, which when combined with the lack of explanation about how you move up the VIP ladder, leaves everything a bit vague. What is clear though, is that 100 loyalty points can be exchanged for £1, and can be redeemed when you reach 500 points.

Game Selection

A bingo site can only ever be as good as the selection of games it offers up to players. As far as bingo is concerned, there are games starting every few minutes, so you’ll never be left with nothing to do.

But the problem is the lack of variety. The classic 90-ball and 75-ball are joined by speed bingo and the themed Immortal Romance room and that’s it. It’s certainly a very focused selection, but at least you’ll find games spanning a number of limit levels to suit any budget. As mentioned in the Promotions section above, there are also plenty of jackpot games running on a daily basis.

Beyond the bingo action, there are also some 170  slots, including some of big Microgaming’s slots such as Game of Thrones, Thunderstruck II, and Lost Vegas. There are also some 13 progressive jackpots, among them the classic Mega Moolah. For the uninitiated, that means 13 slots games where you have the chance to instantly win millions.

For the casino fans, there are also around 30 classic table games to be enjoyed in between rounds of bingo, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied at Glossy Bingo.

The site’s layout is intuitive and easy to navigate, although not really the most aesthetic online gaming site you will across. The games themselves are attractively designed and quick to load, offering you the best possible bingo experience. It’s just a shame that there isn’t a little more variety to keep experienced bingo players from getting jaded.

Mobile App

Glossy Bingo doesn’t offer any mobile apps for bingo, and the net result is that you need to play in-browser at all times. Their mobile version carries a few of their most popular bingo games, and is accessible from virtually any smartphone or tablet device in the default browser, including iPhone, Android phones and Windows Phone. However, if you’re unsure, you’re encouraged to get in touch with the support team to check whether your device is compatible.

If there was an area of improvement for Glossy Bingo, this would be it. Having an app, would be more convenient for some players. There is something to be said for that instant load up compared to browsing through on the smaller screen. Having said that, most players still find it easy enough to play on mobile, or to play on their desktop or laptop if they’re facing any mobile compatibility issues.

Glossy Bingo has a reputation for being a friendly, welcoming place to play, and that’s carried over in their approach to customer support. The team (known as the ‘G Team’, because their names all start with the letter ‘G’) always put customers first, and you can reach them by email, or live chat around the clock.

Review Summary

Glossy Bingo has only been around for a few years, but it’s already made a splash with online bingo players. It’s a friendly site, and you get that impression from the very first second you land there. What Glossy does really well is to create a realistic bingo-club vibe where new players feel as welcome as the old hands.

The bonus is generous enough, although it doesn’t really set the site apart. The lack of transparency over T&Cs makes it also hard to know where you stand. The same goes for the VIP programme, which is a shame, as otherwise it seems to offer generous benefits. We’d like to see more versions of bingo, but given the strong slots and casino games selection, there should be enough to divert all but the fussiest of players.

We’d recommend Glossy Bingo if you’re looking for a primary destination for your online bingo play that has a strong sense of community, as well as plenty of tasty jackpot games along the way.
